Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling your copy of OOTP 9? That often does the trick. Be sure to reinstall version 9.1.6 and let us know how it works.

Tried that...Still does it. I may try again later though. Edit: Now what it does is: I'll start a new 2008 MLB game, and it'll say "Tampa Bay Scouting Players", and that will go to 100% and just freeze. Last edited by T24L; 08-04-2008 at 08:53 PM. |

Update: I tried creating a fictional league and it got past the scouting part, but then it froze when it simmed January Second.

What is your operating system, what is your processor speed, how much RAM do you have, and how much available hard drive space do you have, please?

Windows XP, 1.80 GHz, 512 MB RAM, and 7 GB free. It was working fine before it crashed the first time and even with a reinstall it's not working.

Just want to make sure that when you say re-install, you mean that you did un-install first and then reinstall the game, not simply reinstalling and overwriting everything already there. Right?

Good. The uninstall doesn't always, for whatever reason, also delete the Program Files/OOTP.../folder. That folder also contains the skins, etc...
If you don't mind, could you uninstall again, make sure you delete that folder as well. In addition, select the Run option from your start menu. Type in %appdata% and make sure you don't see an OOTP Developments folder. The uninstall should've (and always does to my knowledge) deleted that as well.

Do you have any anti-virus programs enabled? Have you tried disabling them temporarily to run OOTP?
