A few simple questions about historic leagues...
I would like to start a historic league, probably around 1980-1982 which is when I started to really follow baseball.
Here are a few questions I have... 1. I will not allow the AI to update rosters, so I would assume my roster will stay the same unless players retire and then the minor leagues are filled up with the rookies each year then. Is this what happens? 2. If I turn automatic Expansion on, does this mean the league will automatically expand with the Rockies and Marlins in '93 and then with the Rays and D-Backs in '98 ?? 3. If I disable the financials, I am assuming this means no free agent signings, correct? Thanks in advance. I'm grateful to all of you who've answered my questions in last few weeks when I started to play. This game is absolutely the best baseball sim game I've ever played. |

Um, I'm not sure about that. It means players will not leave teams due to free agency, so you won't have a traditionally modern free agency period. However, if there are players in the free agent pool, teams may pick them up.

Correct. There won't be free agents as we know them, just players being released and undrafted that will be FAs.
