Trades Not Permitted

Ever since loading the new patch (full install) there have been no trades in my solo league. I am unbale to initiate any trades with the team I control. None of the AI controlled teams made a trade during an entire season.

I checked the game setup and verified that trading was enabled. I played with the trading difficulty setting which made no difference. Is there another setting that might be blocking any trade activity?

What message appears on the screen when you try to initiate a trade?

When I try to initiate a trade, the screen reads that my team "can't afford the contracts of the offered players." Some trade proposals from me get the same response from the other teams. Financials are enabled. It appears that all trading activity is dead for every team (my human controlled team and the other AI controlled teams.)

Everything worked fine before installing the newest patch. Trades were normal before installing the patch, with no changes made to the financials.

i am having this issue also---started with 9.2.0---couldnt trade in the off-season because always said i couldnt afford contracts of players i was trading for even though that wasnt an issue---after 9.2.2 came out it seemed to have fixed the problem. i was able to make trades again in the same off-season, but since the season started it has gone back to the same problem----cant trade because says cant afford contracts.

I decided to start a new league (historical), using the same settings as the league in which trading was not possible. I can do trades in the new league (so far). I still can't do any trades in the prior league.

That's an odd effect. I'll close this thread for the time being and if anyone else reports the same issue we'll reopen this one.
