Stuck in the Off-Season

My online league is stuck in the off-season. I simmed all the way until June and it's still showing as off-season. it never switched to pre-season, never scheduled spring training or the regular season.

I assume this is the first season of the league?

did you set up an inaugural draft? how did you set up the league structure?

did you (or he) change any settings at all between the end of the previous season and where you (or he) are (or is) now? or between while the previous season was running?

Bump, reopening this because we're still having the problem.

This is the 7th year of the league and we've been running since 2006. No settings changed during the off-season. The only thing we did was upgrade to OOTP 9 after the playoffs ended.

Are issues with this stuff ever going to stop? This is what the 6th stoppage we've had since starting with 2006? It's always something and the amount of time wasted by everyone in our league is getting out of control. Thank god we have good owners because once again we've been stopped for a month and owners basically have to sit on their hands and just hope.

I'll pay $20 over Pay Pal to the first person that can correctly fix our league file and get the league up and running again.

If that's not incentive, I don't know what is!

HELP US!!!

Or

Give us our money back for OOTP9 and we'll just keep going with OOTP8.

I seriously doubt I (or most anyone else from this league) will be buying any future versions of this game as long as we dont get a fix. I appreciate the patches and all that stuff, but at this point i'd rather stick with older versions that, you know, work.

How about the hope of any of us ever buying a future version of this game. Is that incentive enough to help us with our problem?

Do you have a custom schedule or non-standard season dates?

We use a custom schedule but haven't gotten to the point where we enter it yet. Season dates are standard April - October.

Come on OOTP Community... don't let us down. When I've written reviews of these titles over at Operation Sports, I raved about the community being really the thing that makes this game the best on the market.

Please help us... don't let our league die.

I don't play around with custom schedules at all, but you mean to say that you are stuck in the offseason and you don't enter a custom schedule until the preseason?

Did you convert to OOTP during the last day of the playoffs, or the after the playoffs ended? In other words, were you already in the offseason when you converted?

You need to do some more investigation on this. Make a copy of your league and sim ahead until the offseason ends. It's important to know when play would resume again. Maybe next year? You can also check News -> League Events to see when various points in the season are scheduled to take place.

I've done the investigation...

We're stuck in the off-season and the game doesn't allow you to do anything with schedules until pre-season. The problem is the game never enters pre-season. I've simmed years ahead with nothing but eternal offseason. No games, no spring training. They never show up on the league events page.

Can you zip up your league .dat files and put them on the FTP site and I'll see if I can force the game into wherever it should be for the date it's on.

Apparently I've got the schedule ok, but not the spring training at the moment.
