Making trades and setting up lineups

My question is when I make trades all the players go to the DFA list is there anyway I can change that?

Next question is since the players go to the DFA list how do I get players with MLB contracts to go to say the GCL team if the main roster is full already? As i tend to get the message that cannot be put on active roster or cannot be put on 40 man roster or players has MLB contract must be on MLB team?

So can anyone help me get understand doing trades better so I am not all so much confused

What my league does is set the DFA time to 21-28 days so owners have a chance to move the players around as they choose, without the commish having to do anything.

Traded players with major league contracts will always land in DFA after a trade. There's no way to change that. Room will have to be made for them on the 40 man roster, which is why they end up on DFA. Depending on their option year availability and whether or not they can refuse demotion, you may or may not be able to put them in the minors after you get them on the 40 man roster. Players traded who have minor league contracts will usually be placed on a rookie league team by the game when the trade is completed.

Our DFA is 21 days so the GM's have plenty of time to make a move. However, I allow "pre-sim" trades where I'll move the newly acquired players onto rosters and into lineups/rotations. My GM's make any transactions they need to free up roster space and usually leave the lineup/rotation slot they want the new player in empty. This makes it very easy for me and prevents them from having to wait a week to see their new guy in action.
