League File Upload Between Sims
So I'm substitute commishing for a league and I believe the file I uploaded was much larger than the regular file the commish uploads (25MB vs 2.5MB? I forget the latter, but I'm sure it must have been considerably smaller). From the league file center I unchecked the two "only necessary...", but what else should I have unchecked? I'm guessing the regular simmer maybe skips the minor league stuff. Maybe it was due to the new and changed images.
Uploading the reports via the report center was a similar story (25MB vs 15MB) so I'm guessing maybe it was minor league stuff he skips, but with 3 minor leagues maybe the difference would be one quarter of the size not 3 5ths. What do you guys normally check/uncheck from those screens?

I keep everything checked, and for a league with 16 teams at each of four levels, halfway through our third season, our league file is about 40MB.

I turn off game logs for all leagues except the human controlled ones. Lets be honest, most people don't even check their own game logs. They arent going to check their minor leagues. I even turn off box scores for all other leagues.
In short, I turn on everything for the human leagues (MLB) and turn off the following for all other leagues: Box Scores, Game Logs, History. Make sure your report level is on "Online League" too, that will cut it down a lot.

Not particularly, no. It also removes the drop down splits from the team stats menu, which a lot of people seem to find useful.

Every stat is useful, but going to the online report setting reduced the size of the file by 50+ MB for my league. The reports already take me 90 minutes to create and upload!

The GUBA is a 36 team league with full minors. Using "complete" reports instead of online, I uploaded a 55mb tarball. Using online reports, it was 45 mb.
Don't get me started on report generating. It's absolutely ridiculous with V9. It literally takes 3 times longer than with 2008, and I have not changed ONE setting. Inexcusable, yet a completely ignored "feature"
