Can't offer a contract?

Had this happen to me a couple times last night while simming...my scouting team went out and found a prospect. I see the scouting report message and can view the profile. but under actions, there's no offer contract option. I thought maybe I missed the 14 day window (which I didn't) so I checked the FA list but he wasn't listed there either. Anyone ever come across this? First time it happened to me and it was twice in the same game session.

I'm going to move this to Technical Support as it does sound like it could be a possible bug as described.

No, doesn't appear so. After a month he's still on my shortlist but doesn't show up in the FA list. Maybe he has Scott Boras for an agent???

Do you have any filters on your free agent list? Does your league include any restrictions for hiring foreign players?

I suppose its possible he retired, but he was a 20 year old 5 star potential "hidden player" so I'd be surprised that he would retire without signing with someone. but its possible.
I'll double check my filters but the only one I've used was potential greater than 20 on a 20-80 scale.
