INF Ratings Issue

I've kind of poked around to see if anyone else has posted anything about this but here goes. I am getting a weird bug where all the infielders in the league are being created with ridiculously low ratings at every position but 1B

SS and Pitcher are the same, Catcher and all OF positions are normal as far as I can tell. I looked in my settings to see if I could change it somehow but all the settings are equivalent for every position. Any suggestions?

follow up

I went in to the game in commish mode and tried to edit some of the ratings and the math is definitely off somehow. I changed one players ratings all to 199 (200 is the max) and the highest his position rating would go is a 30 but the math worked different at 1B and no matter what I put in for any of the other positions in the INF it wouldnt add those as positions he could play.

The ratings for fielding positions are very strange as they depend on things such as experience as well as the Range/Error/Arm values.

If you set all the fielding ratings (IF Range/Arm/Error, OF Range/Arm/Error, Turn DP, Catcher Arm/Ability) to 250 and set all the experiences to 200 you get the following ratings (regardless of player's actual position)

P : 629
C : 316
1B : 455
2B : 331
3B : 329
SS : 304
LF : 375
CF : 318
RF : 404

so it's never possible to get a 2B/3B/SS rating as high as the maximum 1B rating and that might be why they appear skewed.

it isn't that they just appear skewed, its that no one rated at 2B/3B/SS is rated above 45. NO ONE. And no one at 1B is rated above a 65. I have the ratings set to rate above 80 (20-80) scouting scale. There are OFs and Cs that have ratings at or above 80. I'll try starting another league and see if it is a glitch in this league or what.

As there hasn't been an update from the OP since the beginning of the year, this thread will be closed for housekeeping purposes. If this is still a problem, let us know and we'll reopen it.
