Chicago Cubs: 100 years all over again?
On my historical simulation, the Cubs won it in 1908, but haven't won it since. It's still early, but it's also not looking good for the Cubs. On the flipside, the most successful team is the White Sox. What do you think about their chances? It is currently 1944.
Edit: 40 years, still only that one title. Edit: Over 50 now. Last edited by bubba22plus; 01-10-2009 at 07:19 PM. |

What about the other 15 teams. Has everybody else made it?
(In one of my recent sims, The Yankees won only 4 times, from 1871 to 2007, 1882 as Baltimore, 1908, 1970 and 1994. They only made the World Series 7 times over 130 years. 1882-84 (as Baltimore),1907-8,1970 and 1994. Just bad luck!! The Indians won it all 18 times and the Cubs are 9 times champs). The LA Angels have failed to make a World Series and Florida and Tampa Bay have failed to make the playoffs. In a non-salary draft replay, it takes years to build a team from only draft picks [each team protected 25 players].

I'm sorry, i can't tell you that. You see, i was going to start playing in 2008, but i got impatient. I took over the Pilots in 1968 and after playing the off season, I felt like i ruined it, and then I crawled back into my hole for a couple of hours
