Can the database be saved to an external hard drive

The default database is the C drive. Is it possible to change that to an external hard drive? When you are in the number of leagues that I'm in, the database gets large and takes up a tremendous amount of hard drive space and really slows down my computer.

Any ideas?

Yes, you can play off of an external. Move (or copy) the data directory from it's default location (along with all subdirectories) to your external drive. When you open OOTP, make sure you go to preferences and change the data location (if I recall correctly you'll need to close OOTP after changing location)...open the game again, and you are now able to load games off of the external.
