A Rather Tall Import Order

Here's the deal: I want to buy OOTP 10 when it comes out. But I would prefer to buy it for my Apple. Fine. Buy I would like to be able to import my old leagues from OOTP 6.5 (yes, I know, I know), which the PC version. Is that even remotely possible? Or will I have to buy OOTP 9 or something as an intermediate step?

Use the demo's of V8 (which I believe you can import 6.5) to import 6.5 and then the demo of V9 to import V8 and then import into V10. It'll be time consuming.

Note 1: Back up your league in case something goes wrong.
Note 2: You will lose all League and Team history from 6.5 to 8. You better be ok with that.
Note 3: A lot of the player stats will come over, including who they played for. All retired players will come over. All Hall of Fame will come over. But you still will lose data. You better be ok with that too.

You can skip using OOTP8. It's possible to import 6.5 leagues into OOTP9.

Yes, league files are platform independent.

For the same reason, you could wait until Version 10 is released to do anything. It's quite likely that you'll be able to import directly from 6.5 to 10, and the fewer conversions you go through the less likely that problems creep in.

I wouldn't bank on this.
