Baseball Card Feature

I know... I know.. It comes out in a few days, but I am a huge card collector and I just wanna see if they look like something that has been produced or are they just the facegen picture the size of a card with stats on the back.

Yeah, it wouldn't even have to be a whole RTTR article. Just a few screen shots would suffice. It would give the modders a chance to plan a strategy of how to create the baseball card template.

It would be cool if a modder got really into it and made a replica topps card for every year. I would love to see my fictional guys on real life style cards for that year.

It would be to much work I am sure, and the game probably can't support it.

I can dream though.

It will be a nice little feature to have. I have lost a number of leagues over the years to hard drive failures, but I still have fond memories of various players.

Yeah, i could've used the feature a while back. i'm going back thru the old Laseron league and making cards of some of the all time greats.

I agree .... I had asked for more info on this in another thread and didn't get reply.

I just ordered the game --- before the pre-sale deadline --- and my boys can't wait to play and try to make their own baseball cards.

I wouldn't worry. Based on past additions of customizable features like this, OOTP seems to work with modders behind the scenes so there are more options once the game is released. That may be what's going on here. So we could all be in for a pleasant surprise next week.

Was this, (player cards), mentioned in any of the advanced reviews done by third parties Steve has mentioned? I haven't read any cause I didn't want to see how the first MLB season turned out for them. Didn't want them to spoil it for me. I know this is a weak excuse for not reading, but it's all I have.

The only review I have seen was done by Braves Nation and imho it wasn't much of a review, so no the baseball card feature was not mentioned.
