Substitutions Re Breaking My Games
Hello. This is one of my favorite games, so it pains me to report that bugs are taking away from the fun. I don't think it's sufficient to go give a bad review to a developer I care about but I'm not sure posting here is helpful.
Today was a perfect example of the rough times I've been having. I'm playing on the latest release on a shiny new iPhone 4S. My troubles all seem to be with making substitutions. My first game required me to replace injured player, but the game forced me to substitute my opponents players first adding to some poor teams. 2nd my DH was injured, and I couldn't replace him because I was continually needing to adjust another player into an endless loop of a menu I can no longer get back to my game. The long and short..this game has no idea of how to handle odd but not to uncommon roster changing. It's a game killer and I'm not enjoying it anymore knowing it will lead to a stop point in fantasy. Help! |

Sorry to hear your frustration. I will make sure to help you out so lets walk through this as I was never really able to reproduce it.
If I understand it correctly subs work as long as you are not forced to make them (like injuries) and there is a difference if the DH gets injured or a normal player, right? I will take a look at the source code now.

The last bug, my DH was injured after his AB. It asked me to sub him immediately which I did. At the end of the inning it brought up my lineup presumably to confirm my sub or set fielding changes. But I could never leave that screen because there was no option to either set a DH or to not. It was waiting for me to answer a question I couldn't so effectively the game was over.
The previous bug earlier that day, also during a required injury replacement, brought up the opposing teams lineup first and wouldn't let me back out to adjust my own team without making an uncalled for substitution on theirs. Once again, there was no way to back out of the screen. |

I'm not sure what is happening in the first reported bug, but it sounds like there was an injury to your opponents player and you were forced to make their substitution?
The second issue/bug has been reported by other users as well. It's basically not allowing the end-user to set the batter's field position as a DH. The simple work around is to exit the game and allow the CPU to 'Finish Today' to complete the game. |
