Historical Financials
Historical sim running and just completed 1941. Not so good year for me, but that is not a problem.
My question is, starting 1941 virtually every team took a dive in budget of 30% - 50% (excluding the Yankees and Cardinals). Is this a reflection of what went on during the war years or has a glitch happened? Tending toward the war but then why were the Yankees/Cards immune? |

Looking at the financial file there is nothing to indicate budgets should decrease. Attendance and media contracts went up in 1942 according to the financials.txt file. I have noticed budgets seem to be a lot higher in year 1 of leagues for some reason. I think it may have something to do with projections at start. When you complete a season and the "owner" sees what actual revenue the budgets can sometimes adjust a lot in year 2.

Well I think the glitch might be in media contracts... I cannot confirm now (unless there is a way of seeing more than 1 year back in the financial section) but the media contracts are down to $1500 ish. I thik they are supposed to be $300k+?
The salaries for players are as the financials.txt so I may have to re-adjust. Though that isn't going to stop the haemorrhage this year as I am going to lose some stars as I have no cash for extensions .
