Historical League Evolution Question
This will be my first foray into a solo career league. I am excited by the new game and new features!
I am thinking of starting an historical league using the new random debut feature. Is there a way starting with 1871 so that the structure the major leagues will automatically evolve through, e.g., the formation of the AL in 1901 all the way to present-day structure. Also, I am thinking of using player development 'off', 3-year recalc after each season, pitch/fielding using current year stats, random L/R splits disabled, potential on remaining years of career, base fielding and stamina on imported season. Any recommendations for changes for these? Thanks! |

No, the earliest you can start and get all of the historical franchise changes is 1901. You can start in 1871, but you won't get the historical franchises when you do. Playing the 19th century historically involves multiple workarounds and editing that you probably will decide is too much trouble.
