AI Trade Difficulty

Sorry, this may already be a thread somewhere, but I just wanted to see if anyone had input on AI Trade Difficulty settings.

If this is set to "Average", is that what OOTP considers "normal" or equivalent to RL MLB?

Does anybody have a preference to what they set this too, and why?

A simple forum search for "Trade Difficulty" will get you many results.

Here's one of many threads on the topic - http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ifficulty.html

You will not find a general consensus, everybody has their own preference.

In my opinion, average is far too easy. Once, I traded a backup outfielder hitting .200 for a .300 hitting outfielder with power at the trade deadline. I also once traded a 40-year old outfielder that was hitting around .180 for a top catching prospect.

Yeah, that's my opinion as well. My conscience will not allow me to trade on any level below "Hard." It is hard but trading is doable and profitable if you work at it at that level.

"Hard" is definitely the choice among many long-time players, but really what one does in the privacy of one's own OOTP universe is entirely one's own business!

Unless you take a video of it, post it online, have it found by your boss, and get fired for unbecoming conduct... wait, I might have read that wrong.
