Foreign player question

Not a new player but something annoying is happening in my new league - I have one MLB level league, 4 minors, and 4 feeders - as far as I can tell all leagues are set to no foreign players allowed, there are no international free agents or discoveries, no random origin players, but somehow international players are still being created.

What seems to happen is they end up in the minors but never get promoted to the majors because of the foreign player limit - but I checked all the minors settings and they seem to be the same as my major league.

Is there anything common here I am missing, or some strange setting? It's getting very tedious having to change all these guys to American so they will actually be promoted to the majors.

Yes, you're missing an option. "Default Player Origin" and "Amateur Draft Player Origin" should be set to 100% American. You probably accidentally set it to 99% American/1% foreign, I've made that mistake sometimes.

You are right, my feeders were set to 99/1 percent. The weird thing is I had been checking them by going to league setup - options for one league, then changing the league in the drop down league menu - but for some reason when I did that it wasn't updating the options correctly, I had to switch screens and go back into setup for each league separately to actually see the 99/1 - before it was showing 100% as the majors league is set.
