Importing player photos for historical replay

Hi, I'm trying to import player photos for a 1977 replay. I downloaded Ceej's1977 photopack, and dropped all of the player photos into OOTP Baseball 15/Saved games/1977 replay.lg/news/html/images/person_pictures.

Still can't get the player pictures to show up in the game. I tried putting the pics in a few other locations (eg /Saved games/1977 replay.lg/news/html/images, or OOTP Baseball 15/photos), but nothing seems to work.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Generally, if you have the photos in the OOTP15/photos folder, and you exit the game and get back in, they should show up. Sorry for the atrocious sentence structure.

Thanks -- seems to work OK now, although possibly because I put the photos in about four or five different places.

The game looks great with the old player and stadium photos

Consider downloading No_Pepper and reds1 historical jerseys for 1901-present and using the facegen project at ootpmods. Combined you can see all the players in history in whatever jersey of the team you may trade them to.

Just remember you cannot place player photos directly into your saved games folders cause they use a different naming structure and won't work. When ootp creates the pic, it's renamed to player_id# and then copied to the correct folder(s) in your saved game. That's why they must always be placed in ootp's photos folder only unless you have your game setup to use a different folder, but still cannot be place in the actual saved games images folders.

Hmm, I'll give that a try. Giving the manual a second read, I see that OOTP (not me) places the pics in news/html/images.

I'll give that a try -- I'm still getting random team logos at times in place of player pics. Still haven't made it through a full 9 innings without the game crashing -- hopefully this will help.

Just tried deleting everything in the news/html/images folder of my saved game and then started OOTP. It pulled player pictures for everyone but Chicago pitcher Steve Stone (1977 replay). His pic showed up OK on the player profile screen but not the playing field.

Look up his id# (it's on his profile page), then go into your saved games\news\html\images\profile_pictures folder, find his pic and copy it to the person_pictures folder.

Thanks, I'll give that a spin. Just having a hard time with the game right now -- yesterday some of the player pictures were missing (had logos instead) and then the game crashed in the 7th inning. Loaded it back up, it started the same game but in the 1st inning, this time some of the player pics were in place. Then the game crashed in the 4th inning.

Is this a normal experience? Thinking maybe of dropping the game for now and coming back to it after the real baseball season is over.
