Generated pitchers, how does the system determine pitch types

Is it possible to increase the likelihood generated pitchers will develop or have certain pitches? I have always wanted a knuckleballer, but the game seems to never generate them. Without creating a fictional league, is it possible to increase the likelihood to get a knuckleballer?

This is a very good question. I always thought pitches were random but should a high-velocity pitcher have a knuckleball as his no. 1? Maybe knuckleballers are limited to guys who have low velocity and stamina. I'll have to take a look. Meantime, maybe somebody else has a better comment.

OK, I'm still using 14, but here is a recent June draft pick's info; He doesn't even have a fastball.
