names other than league
since now is the time we all start dreaming about new creations. a friendly reminder
I have a list of terms to use other than "league" when naming your...leagues Union Consortium Society Coalition Sodality Syndicate Association Confederation Federation Alliance Conference organization Guild Partnership Group Universe World Band Co-Op Committee Council Affiliate Affliation Board Clubs Institution Chapter Cult Conglomeration Company Community Party Aggregation Assembly Congress Throng Cult Troop Corporation Faction Gang Cartel Circle Clique Collection Gathering Trust enterprise Circuit Agreement Championship Premiership Tour Cup Classification Tier anybody have others to add to the list? For a league i'll use Association or Conference.
I'll use Board, Council, Federation or Association for the in-game association feature.

National Agreement Baseball Championship North American Premiership Heartland Tour Stengel Cup Classification I Tier I Ban Johnson Trophy A lot of these are abstract. Like how "MLB" used to just be "Organized Baseball". For example the press refers to your competition as the "Ban Johnson Trophy" or the "National Circuit", everyone knows its the top level of ball, and it doesn't have an official name. |
