Two codes for OOTP 16?
Is it true that you get 2 game codes, one for you and one for a friend when you purchase OOTP 16?

No you don't. You can run the game on two computers but the license is for you and is not to be shared.

The license is "technically" not to be shared. Selling license keys that have already been activated on one computer is against forum policy, but there's nothing within the OOTP16 game itself to prevent the two activations from being used by two different people.
The preorder Steam key falls under the standard Steam rules, though it's obviously impossible to split unless you exploit Steam's offline mode (which might be against Valve's terms of service). |

I don,t need the game Running on 2 machines. Never changed since i got ootp12 hence the question. Thanks guys |

There is a contract of sale at play here. It's a single activation for an individual, hence a single code. I think you may be on shaky legal ground with respect to giving it away to a friend. There is a clear difference IMO between having the game active on two computers in your household and allowing a "friend" in a different location use a code purchased by you and provided for your use.

There's also the whole OOTP Developments is a very small developer and not some evil mega-corp, so maybe don't rip them off.

If people give their second code to someone else, OOTP will stop giving out two codes. So quit already.
