Creating international free agents problem

This question is for both amateur and established. My leagues are all based in a certain region but I want the international players to come from specific nations outside this region. However when I go in to specify what nations they can come from I only see "Nations in Game World" as checkable options.

This is what it looks like and all of these regions are already represented in the draft pool. If I change the region to none then I can choose international free agents but of course I want the league to be based in a region. Any advice?

What you want is currently not directly supported, sorry.

The workaround is indeed removing the league region, and setting up the player origins (except international) to only use the nations from the region you originally wanted.

ok thanks for the response. is there any way of limiting foreign players if you remove the region? (not by team nationality)

I just tried this workaround and utter disaster. I removed the region, then decided to back up my game knowing that what I was about to do was provisional.

utter chaos. teams released all of their good players no discernible reason, contracts ruined, budgets screwed up, player histories torched. all because I simply changed the region, which I was not even using for anything in the first place. can anyone explain this and help me fix it? this badly needs to be fixed because this is possibly a league-ruiner and this is a league I have spent an extremely long time honing to what I want
