GM Mode Idea & Question
I love the idea of just being a GM. I brought this up in another thread, but I think it's worthy of its own. I know as a GM we can influence strategy of the manger depending on his tempermant and experience, but are they any managers that let you influence lineups? I've tried a few different one's and they don't appear to let me do that.
The reason is I'm playing as the Mets and Murphy went down with an injury, so I called up herrera to play 2nd, but my manager refuses to play him. I'm assuming because his regular rating isn't as high as the other backup. Can a feature be added to influence the manager to playing a young player or any player for that matter? Or are there managers that are programmed in the game that already allow this? |

Depending on the manager's personality and reputation, you can still dictate who should start by using the "Individual Player Strategy" options as the GM. You can force-start a player on these pages. However, if a manager is controlling or has a strong reputation, you might not have these options.

Got me thinking hmmm wondering if you change trade setting to rebuilding might help??? Dunno if that only influence trade. Would be interesting to see if Manager sees that ???

It is John Farrell with the Red Sox and i like him as a manager so I'm going to deal with it for now but I probably wont extend him and anyone i hire will not be a control freak. i definitely like having a little bit of influence. Last edited by rstoomeyii; 03-23-2015 at 05:01 PM. |

Makes sense. Situations like this make the game even better. You have to choose between Farrell (and his do it his way attitude) or find someone that will just do as you want. This is a nice addition to the game IMO.
