Importing a '15 game mid-season...

...any pitfalls?

I know its advised to do it after the playoffs, first day of the offseason, but can it still be done safely say, mid July?

Yes, you can import at any time.

Just be sure to have a backup of your lg folder.

Just a caveat, I noticed some weird finance issues when importing mid-season, likely due to the inclusion of a few things in 16 that didn't exist in 15. Expect some wonkyness.

If you think they're bugs, please post in the bug reports thread about them. We do cheat with finances on import, but nothing should get screwed up even importing mid-season.

I imported my season from 15 to 16 while in late June and things seem to be fine with my league/season. I didn't really notice anything that was too off the wall with the finances. There's a couple of things that are different but nothing too out of the ordinary.

I converted at the All star Break of one of the 5 leagues i have in my eBL vs MLB league and so far no problems. I did make a backup right away in case I have to restore. There are a ton of new things so check all of your settings, rules etc.

Basically, it should be able to be done any time without issue. When people talk about the "best" time of the year to import, it doesn't mean that doing it at another time will be guaranteed to cause problems.

FWIW, I imported my league from 14 up through 15 and into 16 in mid-May. Haven't noticed any issues thus far (which is impressive; I was expecting something to get messed up a little, going through two versions of the game).
