Scouting accuracy

Is there a setting to set scouting accuracy harder or easier depending on your preference?
I've looked around but didn't see the option. Is that possible to toy with?

When you create the game, it asks you for basic scouting preferences. Not sure where/if it is once you start playing.

Low. More uncertainty is always better.

Hijacking an old thread here, but is this option simply for the user or effect how both the user and the AI see's the player? I've always thought it to be the user only but now I am doubting myself.

I took over the Mariners, whose Scout had a pretty good reputation in all areas. However, I was able to get a new Scout who had an Outstanding rating in almost all areas, and I saw fairly significant changes in the ratings of my players.

I still wonder how accurate he is. For example, is he completely off with some guys or is his margin of error with every player smaller? Once I got the new scout it really put into perspective how devoid of talent my organization really is. Am trying to build it back up but it is nearly impossible to do it through trades with other teams.

I leave my scouting accuracy at 'normal' because it is a global, not individual option. It affects all the teams in your game, not just yours. If I wanted to reduce the accuracy of my club only, I could fire my 'outstanding' scout and replace him with a 'decent' one.

The same goes with the trade settings. I leave them at average/neutral while many here suggest hard/favor prospects, etc. Again, because it is a global option, I feel that it is not my place to set the preference for the other teams in your game.

This is simply a view of mine because the best setting is the one that gives you the highest fun factor season after season.
