Trade issues
I'm in GM only mode and need a new SP. So I go to Washington to try to trade for Strasburg. They tell me to submit the offer as they need to think about it. 3 weeks later, and I still don't hear anything. AND, to boot, my player that everyone wants and I don't need is now tied up in a trade, so I can't offer him to anyone else until the Nats accept the trade or decline it.
And now, the trade deadline has passed. Is this a bug in the game? Or is Rizzo just an jerk in game?!? |

That makes sense. I never thought to look at that before. A couple of times when it happened, after I had negotiated for what seemed like days just to get a deal that wouldn't require me to give up the farm, I got so mad at the game for my trade disappearing that I went into commish mode and re-framed the trade so it was one-for-one and then forced it through!

Could it potentially be that the human-controlled team couldn't afford Strasburg anymore?

What was the Strasburg offer?

Thanks all! The trade was a straight up trade. Manuel Margot (CF for Red Sox AAA team) for Strasburg. I have a few CFs waiting to come up, and am in need of a solid SP.
So now the stupid question. I'm looking at pending transactions for all of MLB and there aren't any. But when I try to initiate a trade with strasburg again, I put Margot in there and an error says "The player could not be added to the trade! Maybe he is already included in this trade or one that has been submitted. Also, the max number of players in a trade is 5 per team." I would have thought that means that there is still a trade pending. Is there another place to look for pending transactions? |

When on the trade screen, directly below the "Player Trade" tab you should see "Pending Trades, " click that & if he's involved in a pending trade then it should be listed there
Also, for whatever it's worth, I wouldn't have responded to that trade offer either if I were the Nats

Yeah, I was surprised to see that they were considering it. But the Nats aren't doing all that well and Margot is apparently rated 4.5 out of 4.5 stars according to my scouts. Figured I'd give it a shot.

If you can't trade him & he's not listed there under pending trades then you'll need to hear from someone else above my pay grade
Good luck |

Same happened to me with a different player. There is no trade pending, so must be a bug. Simple solution was to go to commissioner mode and change his team. Then go to the player I wanted to trade for him and change that person to my team. It's clearly a defect in the game.

Have you tried going back to the trade screen with Washington and clearing all offered trades?
