Question Any way to export salaries page to a CSV?

Entering all this info by hand to try to keep track of things is a pain in the butt. Is there any way to press a button and have it spit it out as a CSV?

This is also extremely useful for doing "what if" scenarios, and trying to test extensions/contracts in the future. (Adding something like this to the game in the future would be great)

It's in the CSV reports under player_contracts and player_contract_extensions or something like that. I've developed spreadsheets that I use as well and they just reference the CSV exports in my solo game.

Then in online leagues I just set up custom views to make copying and pasting easy after opening the page in my external browser.

This sounds great! Next question... how do you go about doing this and/or accessing this export CSV menu?

Ah, I see it now!

The problem... it's a little bit more work than I think should be necessary for what I am after. I was just hoping to get a report based on the "Salaries" page (that would hopefully look a little bit like what I already created), and have it spit out the data for just my team/players only. Seems like a reasonable thing that the game would generate for you on its own given the complexity of the contracts and lack of an ability to play out "what if" scenarios for contracts from within the game.

I'll have a look around the mods forum to see if anyone has a tool to easily make this happen, although I doubt it.

Thanks for the information though — I never in a million years would've noticed that menu.

You know what I just realized? You can actually open up the page in an external browser and just copy and paste the data into Google Sheets, and it just works.

That's actually exactly what I wanted. It just didn't even come to mind to try it. I might need to do some conditionals to get it to look nice like my existing sheet, but I think it just might work.

Edit: Just realized that it still spits out numbers like $3.8m and $538k and such. Anyone know of a way to transform those into integers within Google Sheets? Again, this is really something the game should do for you.

Note: This was annoying me so much that I actually experimented with some JavaScript code and created a solution for Google Spreadsheets, and it's extremely useful.

If you're interested, I created a mod thread here: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ml#post3865232
