Reduce the number of leagues

Once I've started a save, is it possible to reduce the number of leagues selected?

I did a quick start MLB but noticed it's much slower than a previous save I have (which wasn't a quickstart). In the quick start save, 36 leagues are loaded and in my Standard save only 19 leagues are load.

Is it possible to reduce the 36 leagues or do I need to start a new save?

For each league you want to delete go to league settings and then click delete this league. It will release all the players into FA

if you don't want a free-for-all on the newly released players, you can put them into a free agent draft.

Or delete all of the players first.
