Changing the preseason date

Does anyone know of any unexpected consequences of changing the date of the preseason to earlier in the year?

Until preseason begins, I can't see any "autoplay to events" except to preseason, spring training, and regular season. If I manually change the start of preseason to earlier, say Jan 1st, I can see all the events like the draft and draft pool release date.

If I manually change the preseason start date for sooner, will there be any other issues?

make a backup, restore and sim out a year+ with your changes - making sure you go through the entire offseason/preason a 2nd time. maybe you encounter a problem if you set it to a previous calendar year? try your most preferred date first.
