Advice for OOTP 16

Hey, I'm Matt, and I'm about to get OOTP 16 tomorrow, and I would like some advice, like players to get, strategies, tip in historical and fictional leagues, stuff like that. I'll post my progress on a blog, and with possibly do a YouTube series next year if the blog is well-received. I'll be doing either a Giants or Dodgers (not an LA fan, just my dad's team) franchise first, and after those probably a Marlins team (I hear it has the lowest budget), and others along the way, either for fun or for the blog, I don't know yet. Well, to whomever answers, thanks for the advice, I'll give credit to you in the blog.

As far as fictional, start small. ML 1-3 levels of minors, let your staff handle promotions and such til you get more familiar with OOTP. OOTP can be overwhelming til you get used to it.

Thanks, man. I have a few more questions if you don't mind. 1) Can you start out at the manager of only Rookie or Single "A" teams? 2) Can you have female players in this game [I'm putting together a universe with comic characters with entire 3 leagues {One Marvel, One DC, One independent or non-major companies} or just 2 leagues {One Marvel, One DC, and have non-Marvel and DC characters be free agents at first}] 3) How can I make custom jersey sets and custom logos?

1. Yes.
2. No (and that is the subject of an annual flamewar). Edit: you can manually change names and pictures one at a time, however).
3. Yes. Head on over to the graphics discussion area and you will learn WAY more than you ever wanted to know! If you're already somewhat familiar with graphic design programs it's comically easy to make your own simple logos. And there are lots of folks here that like designing graphics as much as or more than playing the game, and might make some stuff up for you for free.

There are some female namesets you can add to your game but you would still have to edit FG's and if you want height & weight. I have a ton of female FG's available and ther is also facebank that has 100 or so celebrities.
I have uniforms & facegens for Gotham City Betmen & Metropplis Supermen. I have facegens for most X-men originals & New Class along with Spiderman and many others.
FaceBank - A library of sample celebrity faces for FaceGen

You can also make your own ( the SS's below are from a version that I have yet to make any FG's with but the clarity looks 10x better.)

I downloaded the wrong version but will try to make a fg with the artist version which is what the FG's below are loaded in but not made in.

Some players from my Gotham City team.
At the bottom of the 1st post download each of the Justafan programs. i used to always ask people to make jerseys for me. Now I can make some of the more simple ones. Also look for the nickname project thread.
