league setup idea

Guys, I'm getting ready to restart my KBL dynasty with 2 branches of minor leagues, AAA and AA. I'm going to have each league be 30 teams with 2 separate leagues, 15 teams in each league. I read an article today about how the divisional format in baseball makes for some unfavorable playoff matchups and the likes, and the article talked about doing away with divisions, and just having the MLB be 15 teams in the AL, 15 teams in the NL, no divisions.

First off, if I wanted to do something like this with the KBL, have 15 teams in the Northern League, 15 teams in the Southern League, no divisions, top 8 teams in each league make the playoffs, and teams aren't separated by west, central, east divisions, is this even possible in OOTP? I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be.

Also, what do you guys think of the idea? I figure it's at least worth a try, I have no idea yet how I'm going to set up my minors, but it would make it a heck of a lot easier than trying to find certain cities based on west, central, east divisions. After all, it's just a game, so travel probably doesn't matter a ton in OOTP I'm guessing? Thoughts? Ideas?

I like the idea. In OOTP you dont have to worry about scheduling MLB does. In my CBF league (part of my EBL vs MLB league) the CBF has 10 teams in each subleague and does not have divisions. Top 4 teams make the playoffs.

If I were going for the "no divisions" format I'd probably try to go East and West for my sub-leagues to try and take some account for time zones.
