I'm buying a new PC...How do I transfer?

I want to make sure that all my games are out there and ready to be used by the new PC. I have a game going with each decade from the 50s on (I have no life&#128531

What exactly do I need to do?

Thx

Lee

At the minimum, just copy the league folder inside Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 16\saved_games (that's for Windows - if you're using a Mac or Linux, the path will be different) to the same location on the new computer once you have OOTP installed on it. The league folder will always end in .lg

I thought more people would have home networks. Seeing that that is wrong, please refer to post 2.

It's just my wife and I and she is only on the computer for email. No need for a network

Plus, I know 3 people who had networks and got rid of them.

I had enough of networks at work (before I retired). It irritates me that Windows thinks the whole world is on networks. It'd be nice if, at the very beginning, when installing Windows, if it'd ask "are you on a network"? It'd save me soooooooo much consternation.

Copy and paste the entire saved games folder.

My recommendation:

Copy your saved games folder.

Any graphics/custom logo's/uni's etc, and any other 3rd party Mods you might have that you wish to keep.

Install OOTP on new computer and license.

Paste all saved games and other things mentioned above.

Start your league(s) to make sure they work ok and everything looks good - history/finances/players/team names/ etc etc

Once you're happy, unlicense and uninstall from old machine.

How would you lose access to a game on Steam?

I copied my entire .lg folder when I upgraded to Windows 10 and when I pasted the folder to the newly formatted drive, it was from like a month and a half before the most recent game I had played (went from trading deadline to around June 5).

Not sure what you mean?. Whatever you copied was from the latest saved game. Files don't lie.

I decided to do a fresh install of Windows 10 (completely formatted C and D drives), and here's what I did:

Manually saved OOTP game, then closed game (in-game date was July 31)
Copied .lg folder to a third drive (E drive)
Installed Windows 10, formatted C and D drives
Installed OOTP
Copied .lg folder from E drive to OOTP saved games folder

When I loaded the game, the in-game date was early June. Ultimately it was probably operator error, but I thought it was strange because copying the save folder was one of the very last things I did prior to formatting the drives. Mine is a Steam version of the game, not sure if that would make any difference...
