Lukas isn't the only one hoping you're wrong. Gotta keep the balance of the baseball universe in line. The Bambino's curse is dead, the Black Sox curse is dead, so that Billy Goat needs to hang in there. We need one good baseball curse still going (the Royals' Denkinger curse doesn't count...gotta be at least 50 years or so without a championship). Let's go Mets!

Part of the fun in seeing how OOTP does. Real life has its quirks and I love it. OOTP is due to have a nice winning streak

So far, we're batting .500 this postseason. People make a big deal about how well Madden does with its Super Bowl predictions, and I always wonder how they do that. Do they sim a bunch of times and create a composite (without saying they do that, making it seem like they sim once), or do they sim a bunch of times and pick the one that looks best, based on their hunches about the game?

Anyway, this is fun to do, and I think it's also important to look at what OOTP sees even if it gets the winning team wrong. For example, last year I picked the Royals to win the World Series based on 10 sims, but I also said the series would go the distance and it would be very tight. Yes, the winning team was wrong, but OOTP was correct in saying how closely matched those teams were and the fact that it would likely go the distance.

And it's not hard to imagine that the bottom of the 9th in Game 7 could have gone another way.
