How about this No-Hitter lol (8 Walks)

This is my team in a fictional league with 100% computer generated players, I know you guys will ask how I'm 85-72 with such a ****ty hitting team, My best two hitters are injured right now and 2 of my other good hitters were on a rest day, I basically thought with Ben Thompson who you will see is actually a rookie with terrible command and a bad win/loss record, I figured going against an 89-67 team that had a good starter that game I was going to lose anyway, hense the resting of a few regulars. Boy was I wrong. No hitter by the rookie that included 8 walks (Did I mention the Athletics have by far the hitter in the league, I don't think I have to give you guys a clue as to who that is in the picture above, the dude's OPS is almost 1.200 and his WAR is projected to be 13.5 at the end of the year, just crazy.)

Here's Thompson's profile page, 1st overall pick for me back in 2014 and he's been dominating the minors since, from A to AAA but he's still only a 1 star player right now.

Anyways I just think it's pretty cool, anyone else ever have these really weird box scores for a player?

your rotation and defense seem to be holding down the fort if you have "meh" hitting.

Yeah my team is something that the die hard purist baseball fan would love, we are going to finish somewhere between 105-115 home runs which will the fewest in the AL. We hit a solid amount of doubles, about middle of the pack in that category. Where my team really shines is speed. We have 40 triples which is #1 in the whole league.

#2 in stolen bases and also #2 in sac flies. We rarely strike out, our Team ERA/pitching strikeouts are both #1 in the AL and we had the least amount of errors in the AL.

It's crazy what small ball, good pitching and good defense does for a team, and players generally cost less if they aren't big power hitters

I forget which guy it was, but a RL pitcher (I think for the Marlins) had a 9-walk no-hitter a few years back.

Looked it up, AJ Burnett walked 8 in a no-hitter with the Marlins, and Jim Maloney back in 1965 walked 10 in a no-hitter

I thought this game was something never before seen but I guess it's been done.

Dock Ellis walked 8 and hit a guy in his LSD no-hitter.

Heh, 8, 9, something like that, huh?

What I remember best were Burnett's post-game quotes from the clubhouse, in which he actually sounded kind of sheepish and embarrassed about a no-hitter.

Edwin Jackson walked 8 during his no hitter a couple years back. Also threw 149 pitches in the process.
