Ratings Change in MLB

I have a pitcher with 80 potential. When in AAA his overall is around 60 for the majors, but when I actually call him up the majors it goes down to 20. He has done well in the minors and is 26 years old, so I think he's ready for MLB. He has pitched there in parts of two seasons and done well. Why does this happen and should I be concerned?

Do you have ratings for all players relative to the mlb or their own league?

I have it relative to MLB for all players.

if you have stats as part of AI evaluation, maybe that is affecting it.

also, since scouting for minors is different than majors (budget $$$), it could just a difference in scouting accuracy/innaccuracy.

i wouldn't pay much attention to overall/potential beyond the basics. it's more for the AI, imo. you will do much better focusing on particular traits for particular roles on the team when making any decision.

i don't like AI eval for my eye, i have it on for it's influence on the AI. i may sort or filter by potential while looking at amatuer draft pools, but that's just to make clicking through them easier/faster or to slim down the search.

if his ratings are MLB-quality, he is ready. don't over-simmer, his ratings will start to drop.
