No HOF-eligible players in fictional league?

I can't quite suss out why my fictional league has no HOF-eligible players. I'm six years in, with a 10-year time on the ballot, five years of service time required, and a three-year waiting period, but nobody's been available for voting yet. The box for manual voting is checked, and the box for automatic induction is unchecked. (I don't remember if the checkbox is labeled enable or disable, but it's definitely unchecked.)

Is there some setting I'm missing?

With five years of service required and a three-year waiting period you won't see anyone eligible until after season eight.

Okay. I tried turning the settings down further, though, and with no waiting period and no service time requirements, there are still no players eligible.

Even the best players would have only a few years worth of stats. Do an 100-year test sim or something, and see what happens.

Did you wait until after the next eligibility period came.

The changes aren't instant, pretty sure you have to sim through to the next period for them to take effect.

You can always change the requirements if you want eligible players.

I will caution you that opening your Hall immediately will mean that players who are not very good in the grand scheme of things get voted in, because by comparison to their peers, their stats look good. So if 100 wins is the best wins in the first 5 years of your league, they might get in. Then, when there are people with 200 wins, that 100 win guy is gonna look awkward.

I think 25 years is a good timeline before starting the Hall. Lets the game really see what your league standards are. Just a thing to consider!

5 years plus three retired. 2015-2019 + 3 = *after* 2022 season ends.

... simple fix to the opening too early. manually pick until you set the boundaries of HoF metrics that you want.
