Minimum Requirements for computer?

I am on a budget but need a laptop for school and some OOTP of course. Was looking at some older Refurb Dell latitudes or Thinkpads with i5 and 4GB of ram. Around 250 to 500GB of storage.

Will this be sufficient to sim games and run my files smoothly?

You will be fine with that.

As stated in the manual:

Windows Minimum Requirements
Windows XP, Vista, 7, or 8
1024x768 display or greater
1 GHz processor
2 GB RAM
3 GB HD Space

Macintosh Minimum Requirements
Intel Processor
Mac OS 10.6
1024x768 display or greater
2 GB RAM
3 GB HD Space

SteamOS + Linux Minimum Requirement
Most 32-bit and 64-bit Linux OS
1 GHz processor
1024x768 display or greater
2 GB RAM
3 GB HD Space
