I can't be associated with not living up to expectations. I'd rather have a team that isn't good enough but plays their hearts out. I'd rather be the executive of an up-an-coming group of over-achievers than this 1-time wonder of a team.

I'm very disappointed in the start to the season. In fact, I think it's time for me to hold a press conference and call-out all of the under-achievers. Then I'll make the announcement that I'm going to resign my position with the Legends at the end of the season due to player failure.

I'll go elsewhere and build a winner there. I don't need a bunch loafers bringing me down.

my Mets in 1976 started out the same way...we lead the division now...give em a chance..check out my dynasty at the start of 1976...the Prepredicts had us being the best team in baseball as well

I have trouble understanding this. I suffer from Connie Mack disorder. It is the case that I can never get fired and I keep the business partner as an owner. I have a budget that is always in the top 3 of the league, but I keep my payroll in the mid range and use youth to build my team then I go nuts for two or three years on payroll and spend to get that championship then I break it apart and go into the lower regions of the league for payroll. Never quit, never say die! Just take a nice vacation in the lean years with all that cash!

I could never leave my team, since my team's name is the best thing there is in this sad world. I'm attached to them like glue. Dump the Critters and hook up with the Bayhawks or the Gold Sox? Uh-uh. Doesn't work.

I've always been this way. No team-hopping. Stay with something.

I have an idea in my head right now for another league, which would be a bit more story-driven than just playing out games (in fact it would involve a bit of manipulating players and teams in commish mode to drive the story), but that's even more work than just playing the game itself, and it doesn't look like I can manage to get that done. In any case, that wouldn't supplant the Furballs. I'm not even trying to get something else underway in earnest because they're the single best team name that I could ever come up with. I'll be with the Furballs 'til I keel over (or at least until the batting register reaches 1,000 players), whether they're playing well or not.

And if they're playing badly? Well. I need a new coat from time to time.

i called everyone here to acknowledge what everyone is thinking. That is we as a team are underachieving. i feel the need to tell you all that we have not given up on this season. And i have not given up on this team. This team will win. But, if it doesn't win... the team, we'll make changes... we'll find a way to make it a winner again; because Philadelphia deserves a winner....
