OOTP16 is too zoomed out (Windows 10, 4K Display)
I have just downloaded OOTP16 onto my new laptop, but it is too tiny. My guess is because the display is 4K, so it thinks the screen is way bigger than it is (15.5'). Any ideas?

it's the same amount of pixels... it just doesn't cover your whole screen anymore.
you can either run in a lower reso whle you play the game, or you can mess with font sizes and other settings. if you find some names/words are being cut off on certian screens with the larger font sizes, a lower resolution should fix that while using the normal font size settings and such. you can always reset desktop resolution when done - some vid cards/apps may even be able to create a profile for a game and automatically switch reso while playing and restore when done. the game won't look any different on 4k - assuming they don't have 4k images in the game, yet. in fact, if just resized as opposed to re-made, it can only look the same or potenitally worse (more aliasing than normal, etc). |

You need to set the Windows high DPI scaling differently. Right-click on the game icon, choose properties, then the compatibility tab and somewhere there is that option.

The next version should set the DPI aware flag properly. But you might also need to edit your registry and remove a setting. Locate this key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers Delete the value which ends with ootp16.exe and has "~ HIGHDPIAWARE" as data. |

I ran into the same issue (3200x1800) but solved it by adjusting my actual screen resolution downward!

Thanks
Right-clicked on the icon, selected properties, went to Compatibility tab, and unchecked the "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" box, totally fixed it. Thank you for the help!
