Is The Spilt Season Feature Not Accurate?

Trying to replicate 1981. So the 1st half winner in the NA East is Brooklyn. It shows Washington as the 2nd half leaders at 15-10. They played more then 25 games since the ASG August 9th. In expanded standings Montreal had the best record post AS at 31-23.

In the NA West the Hitmen had the best 1st half, it shows Milwaukee at 16-12. Cleveland shows 31-21 since ASG.
So now I changed the LDS to be MTL @ BRO & CLE @ CHI.
Which one is right?

In the AA East.Atlanta won both halves but since I did not see any real 1981 teams winning both halves i have them playing NO who have the 2nd best overall record in the AA East.
Orig AA LDS matchup was ATL vs SF & NO vs LA.
SF had the best record pre ASG, LA the best 2nd half.

Standings as of ASG.

How long is the season? The halfway point would be the actual halfway point of the number of games played not the ASG.

Why OOTP still does not have a toggle between displaying the first half, second half, and overall standings for leagues using the split-season format is a mystery to me. That should have been added years ago. (And the schedule files should have an entry which states explicitly on which date the first half ends and the second half begins.)

Actual 1981 season so not entirely sure. season started around April 8th ended with the strike June 11th. Resumed August 10th. ended October 2nd. They played 55 games at the time the strike happened, 108 overall, approx.

I'm thinking a messy workaround would be to have your all star game split the season in half so you then can look at expanded stats and see post ASG record for teams and manually figure out what's going on.

ok I see what you mean now. Yes it does look pretty strange that the 2nd half leaders only shows 15-10 when the halfway point would be 54 games. Must be some season glitch. I play split season games in my league at least the overall games played works fine.
