Linux - Game crashing after downloading online league file

Just purchased the game, on a lark for the Linux Mint half of my dual-boot config. When I select "Download latest league file" from the
File > Online League menu, the progress bar moves to 100% as if the file is being downloaded but then the game immediately crashes to my desktop. Re-starting the game, the updated league file has not been implemented.

No response here, no response to the support ticket I put in over 72 hours ago. Awesome.

I saw the same problem on the latest patch when downloading the league file with my direct Linux license. Not even sure where to look for crash files.

Guess I am lucky, though, cause I also have a Steam key, and strangely the same crash does not happen when I run the same version of the game on the same league via Steam.

Unfortunately we are still a small team, and especially over weekends (and long weekends like it was for me in Canada this past weekend), our support does slow down. Apologies for the delay. We are looking into this issue.
