World Baseball Classic question

I want to construct a WBC tournament in my "world" but I'm having a hard time. I want to use the players in the game I've started so I've tried everything from a custom league to a quickstart of my league wherein I delete all the leagues and construct a new one specifically for the WBC. That seemed like it would work, but it kept crashing.

Does anyone know how to construct a custom league while importing the world I've created in my MLB game? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

The closest I've been able to get with OOTP is to set up a league association between all your individual leagues. Then set it to have the top four or eight teams in each league and it will set up a new playoff bracket.

Here's an example. I have four major leagues, each with two subleagues, who do not play each other in the regular season. For me I have a North America league, South America, Europe, and Asia/Pacific. After each leagues' championship (world series in MLB), the top four teams in each league then get placed into the league association playoffs (WBC) and they battle it out for the best team in the world.

The best way to do this is to make a QuickStart of your league, delete all the leagues and replace them with one WBC league. Adjust the amount of Foriegn players allowed on roster to 0 by team nationality and give each country you want to be represented a league. Than adjust the schedule so each team makes the playoffs and use the regular season as the qualifier rounds. It's a pain to make still doesn't work great but it's the I have been able to come up with. this has been a question for a couple years but I think they waiting till the next go around in real life and that would make plenty of sense

Yeah, I've tried this and it crashes right after I make a quickstart. I'll try again and see if it just screwed up the QS. Thanks!
