Scouting Report stars DO NOT MATCH potential star rating

For whatever reason, this is still broken in OOTP 17. In most cases, if I look at a player with say, 3 star potential, on the player screen, then click on Scouting Reports, the rating at the end, for my scout, is wildly different and that 3 star player might be a 1 star player. This is happening with every member of our online league and is causing massive frustration. I can provide picture examples if necessary.

I haven't seen the pictures, but this shouldn't be a bug. It's what the scout sees instead of the OSA. They're not supposed to match. It's more or less a fog of war.

P.S. Try attaching an image to your post. Click manage attachments then click "choose" and then hit upload.

Actually they are supposed to match. I did what you described on the images to begin with, won't work. If you right click on the image placeholder and open it, they show though.

I'm not talking about OSA vs. Scout, I'm talking about viewing a player, looking at the overall and potential stars there, then clicking on Scouting Options and the stars from my scout and everyone else's in our league, shows differences, most of the time, if they are above a couple of stars.

They should match, however depending on your options (relative ratings or not, and all the various AI eval settings), and the way that we store the scouting reports, sometimes they will differ slightly, even if you're looking at stats the day the report came out.

Thank you for the reply. If you can tell me how to make them match, something they've always done in the previous 13 seasons we've had, until OOTP 2017 came out, I'd appreciate it. I'll be glad to post our settings if you need to see them.

I believe if you do not use relative ratings, they should always match. Relative ratings on is usually the one that screws things up.

We do not use relative ratings, Matt, so it would appear something is wrong. I'll be glad to provide any additional data you might need so as to look into this.

I have this problem with my offline league as well. I don't use relative ratings either.

Thanks for the offer, but we have already had people share similar cases. There's not much we can do for this year about this. We'll likely look to cleaning this up further for next year.

For now, you can essentially treat the ratings on the front page as the most current, and those should be the ones to pay closest attention to.
