Stars of the Game: Odd Choices

Just completed a game between Penguins and Ducks.....Ducks won 2-0. The first star was a Duck player who had one of the goals and a Duck player with the other goal got the 3rd star. Phil Kessel of the Penguins got the 2nd star, even though he had no goals or assists (was -1, 4 hits, 1 SOG, about 17 minutes of ice time).

I have no issue with the 1st and 2nd star, but can't think of a reason why Kessel received the 2nd, especially when the Duck's goaltender pitched a shut out with 25 saves....he certainly should have been the other, if not the top star.

Starting to thing the star system does not like goaltenders....have had several games now where they have pitched a shutout and not been nominated as one of the stars of the game. So far haven't seen a goaltender get the honors at all.
