scheduling conflicts and international injuries

My second season started October 1st, and as I type this I realize it might be because it was an Olympic year, but that was really early. Also, the Olympics that year ended after the NHL started playing again, so some teams were missing players for one or two games. Finally, that season I was bounced from the playoffs in round 1, So Mcdavid went to play in the world championships. He got injured for "6 weeks", yet continued to play and put up points through the tournament. Andrej Sekera got hurt in the same tournament but I believe he stopped playing, I can't say for sure thought as their game history hasn't updated

In Olympic years the season will start a week earlier to have room for a two week break. We will look into the rest.
