How do I re-write history?

I've been playing OOTP for several years now, and I enjoy re-writing baseball history, such as in this thread. I want to do the same with a hockey universe, starting in 1931.

For the 1931-32 season, the NHL would have 12 teams, the 8 that really existed (NYRangers, NYAmerks, MonCanadiens, MonMaroons, Detroit, Chicago, Boston and Toronto) plus Buffalo, Cleveland, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. What I would do is have a fantasy draft to "spread out" the real, existing players, and fill any cracks with fictionals.

Except...I can't seem to figure out how it works in FHM3. I see that some of you have done these type of hockey dynasties, so...li'l help?

Sorry, I missed this post. What you're currently proposing is highly unlikely as you'd have to create a fictional league and create/edit players (and do that every year).
