Playoff Coverage bug - players disappearing
If a league's playoff series has finished, and then some of the players who participated in the series are traded, released, called up, etc., those players' and their stats disappear from the Playoff Coverage page (where it shows postseason results, stats, etc.). For example, you could be looking at a completed 5-game championship series for a league, and then you'll notice that - rather than the pitchers' innings adding up to approximately 45 innings - there are only three pitchers listed and their innings add up to maybe 20 innings. This is because, of the four pitchers who tossed the other 25 innings, two of them were called up, 1 retired, and the other was released.
Note although the example above is a minor-leagues one, this is also an issue with major leagues; you could have a trade, release, or retirement happen a day or two after the end of the World Series, and then that player will disappear from the Playoff Coverage page. |

Note that you can easily replicate this to see for yourself:
Setup a quick & simple test league and run it until the playoffs complete. Go the Playoff Coverage screen and pick any player. Manually send him to the free agent pool by editing or releasing him. Then go back to the Playoff Coverage screen and you'll see that he has disappeared. (Then put him back on the team and he reappears.) |
