OOTP 17 Mac Crash

I am getting very frustrated with this game. I play from the Managers Office and autoplay until next game. I then go from play ball to start game. From that screen I select game so it sims through the entire game. I typically like to monitor how players are performing, etc.. Within ten games played the game crashes and I lose all saved data from last save to the current point. It's becoming unplayable. How do I fix this???
