Corrupt data base

Has happened to me twice. First time I left the game running overnight and it went into sleep mode. Second time I was playing out a game and it froze. Had to restart computer and when I tried to reload my league I got the data base corrupt message. Couldn't use the back up because the folder didn't exist .. there was some old folders from other leagues long ago deleted but not for the current league.

I'm assuming it's probably my hard drive with the first symptoms of dying. Can anyone confirm this before I go buy a new computer?

the sqlite was corrupt to be more precise.
