Why is it that I can check the box, then look again to see the checkmark removed and have to check it again for every team?
I want to tell the game to never, ever, ever autonomously change a logo, color, or texture for a team once I check that box for that team. If I played 500 years in game time for 50 years in real life (no computer would last for 50 real life years and I'd get new OOTP versions, but this is to make a point) that box should never become unchecked and the team's logos/colors/textures should not be changed. How do I accomplish this and not give the system the "key" to unlock them? |

do they get auto-changed?
once i set them they remain for me. i did check that box while i did 10 custom teams added to the 30 mlb ones. while i cannot say if it is still chekcmarked, i can tell you that even with what's about to be multiple 100+ year runs and quite a few backups - even involving renaming directories and such - and none of the custom teams have lost my changes to them. they have not reverted. my picture files typically have their name in it, but i wouldn't be surprised if a few are misnamed, too... e.g. i new orleans blues using st. louois blues jerseys and in those cases i may not have renamed the pic files. i may have, though, lol. that might be the key if things are changing on you... rename the logo / jersey pic files as others are specifically named organizations - use their file name formatting. |

They would especially get auto-changed when I'd changed a real-life team name away from its defaults. In my game, teams play with their main color-- not white, except in rare cases-- the color of their uniform. So the Red Sox and Reds have red uniforms, not their real-life white with red letters, to take simple examples. I think that all changed only when I deleted the team defaults from the disk. Some team defaults did come back when I first restarted the game on this computer, though so much else was lost (I had to re-install the game) I didn't think much of it. I also now have jerseys for about half the teams in my majors saved on disk from the OOTP Jersey Maker at ootputilities. The ones that used to get auto-changed were after I'd changed the jersey colors and textures in the in-game editor. I'd never lost jerseys that I'd saved from the web site. I actually went without using the game for a few months, hence my absence from the boards for a while, because I knew I'd be missing a boatload of data (I had enough in the cloud I'm not totally starting over, but I lost a whole lot), and I also have been able to play some games my old pc was too slow to run, which also used a lot of gaming time. I knew I'd eventually want to play again, see how much data I still had, etc.. I think that before I paused I'd found a way to keep the game from auto-unchecking the box...but it is unchecking it again.... |

I stand with you in solidarity. Sometimes, they stay. Sometimes, they don't. I want a single lockbox: don't automatically change any logo ever.
